Bob Feller, American (1918-2010). Brown leather belt with Ray Hickok award buckle in 10K yellow gold. Buckle is engraved 'Ray Hickok Award Professional Athlete R. F.' and on the inside 'Hickok Champion August 1951 Robert Feller Baseball.' Provenance from the Estate of Bob and Ann Feller, Cleveland, Ohio. Bob was named 'The Greatest Pitcher' of his time for the Cleveland Indians and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1962. He played 18 seasons for the Indians, was an 8 time 'All Star' and ranked 36 out of 100 in 'Sporting News' list of 100 of the Greastest Baseball Players. At the age of 23 he was the first American professional athlete to enlist in the military the day after the attack on Pearl Harbor. Belt measures 44.75"L x 1"W; buckle 1.75"l x 1"W (total weight 0.836 troy ounces). Condition report: wear commensurate with age and light use, please see photos. Examine all photos closely.
