David Hockney, U.K. (Born 1937). Using the interplay of water and light within a swimming pool, this is a sustained series of works made from colored and pressed paper pulp. Hockney used the original technique of fusing paper and paper pulp to depict images produced from photographs. The book is copy #841/1,000 from master printer Kenneth Tyler, Tyler Graphisc, Ltd. and has a blue linen cover and slipcase. It is signed in red by the artist on the justification page and has labels from the Notre Dame Snite Museum of Art. Measures 11.25"H x 9.5"W x 1" thick (slipcase); 10.75"H x 9.25"W (book).
